No worries, just flash the CWM-zippable UCLE5 ICS official update with root. (Or you can unroot to ICS.)

just flashed this rom, will update on its performance
Do we have to do a wipe or anything else before we zip this ROM?
If you want to or coming from custom ROM. You can try without then wipe after installing too.
OK I have to root first and then install the rom or just install these rom

Does this also need ‘Google apps’ installed seperately?
Nope.
I believe you need gapps (google apps) only when using CM mods. This is (supposed to be) original which has been rooted.
If i have rooted gingerbread can i just use this to upgrade to ICS or do i need to unroot and wipe first?
I believe you can just flash the .zip. I tied this for the first time this weekend and it worked no problem. My only complaint is that this ROM seems slower than the gingerbread I had on it before. My concern was being able to restore my backup after the kernel is different cause of the ICS rom.
In reboot screen instead of saying SGH-I777 says I9100 thats normal!!???

serendipity 9 is the best ROM if ur lookin for the best stock Ics experience, it’s also the closest to the s3 ROM for the i777, that’s just my opinion:-p
I actually wouldn’t recommend serendipity 9, I’ve had it for the past month, and after a week, i can no longer receive calls. I can make call, receive texts, and get voicemail, but I will not get calls or a notification for missed calls. I’ve changed to a separate rom for now. But dont get that rom.
Hello Erik, I had the same problem with serendipity. I found a Serendipity 9.4 update and the problem was fixed. Just google serendipity 9.4 update.
Which one is better between the F1 Nexus ics rom and this ucle5??
Just moved to this from AOKP. Mostly for audio dock support. Had some issues when bringing in contacts and Exchange settings from Titanium Backup, but it seems pretty good other than that.
Miui has an audio dock i think it is 2.6 version i dont know if you like that ROM or not
This one actually seems OK to me, minus the bloat. Nova launcher customizes enough for me. Just started using llama too, which is pretty neat.
Think will ever have audio dock support? It is my favorite ROM and I hate to switch to bloat just for that.
Just get the version that’s bloat free. I’ve been running it the last couple of days with no issues and battery life seems fine. Nice to have audio dock support again.
I uploaded the rom on to my i777, and now CWM is not recognizing my internal sd card, i fixed the permissions:-(

I’m unable to download anything, I tried to down load a ROM and it just says failed, so I went to settings and enable third party apps, and still can’t download,,,,,I also tried to mount my internal sd card and it just says “can’t mount /emmc/” HELP!!
it’s just the kernel, u can try another kernel like siyah, flash over top of it.
Flashed this rom and found no problems. I did not wipe before. I then flashed the latest Siyah kernal in order to overclock. Now overclocked to 1400 and having no problems as of yet. Running smoothly.

Battery life is the same or better than with the rooted stock GB Rom.
If you use tmobile sim card it will not let you use hotspot wifi. I have tried and it did not work. If anyone made it work please let me know. Also when i signed to my google account it did not let me sign in to transfer my contacts, using tmobile sim card of course
How is battery life on this rom?
Sorry about my stupid and a little confusing question… I’m running AOKP and I kinda like it. What If I make a new ClockworkMod recovery now, before Flashing and in case I don’t enjoy this ROM much, by Recoverying will I get AOKP back as it was? Thanks in advance.

Wipe cache in CWM and reboot.

I actually found that I do not like AOKP. looks beautiful, runs beautiful, but eats your battery like hell…
Set the scaling governor to Conservative. I get great battery life!
Hi Max. HELP – I installed this ROM and everything seems OK except I have no Widget tab in my app drawer. Is this a setting? Or, could you point me in the direction of reverting to my previous OS so I could do the offical AT&T update through Kies that is avalable now? On the plus side my Quadrant score went from 3250 to 4250. My i/o scores went from about 3000 to over 9000. What are i/o scores???? Anyway any help you would extend my way would be greatly appreciated. I am a BIG fan. You Rock Sir. Thank you so much, not just for helping me but for all you do for the Android community. You have me seriosly High on Android and I’m stoked to have you has my new Android Guru.

Max, could you post a link in here as well after you figure out the revert for the Keis update? I had rooted GB and was unable to update via Keis (said my device was unable to be updated) so I went ahead and downloaded this…seems to be okay for me, minor problems with the lock screen not working correctly as well as running a bit slow.
I did notice that after the flash all my contacts, text messages/convos etc were all there as I left them, which I did not notice when I flashed AOKP rom. Does this happen normally when flashing a rom or something different because this was supposed to be the one from AT&T. Also, it appears the same as Gingerbread before I flashed it, minor changes and nothing like gingerbread…any thoughts to fix this?

I just did a major bit of rom swapping. I went from AOKP, which i was perfectly happy with, to Serendipity Rom for Touch Wiz 5(just for fun). Didn’t like it, so i moved on to ShoStock. Didn’t like that it had the stock music app but no Allshare. I wanted both, so i flashed this rom. I had previously flashed this rom before and it never gave me any problems. But this time, as soon as i unlock the phone, it says “Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped.” it works for about a second after i hit ok, then freezes for another 10 seconds and throws the same error message. I tried to install siyahkernel but i can no longer connect to usb storage in rom or in recovery and i have no other rom or kernel on the phone to flash. Help? Btw. i cleared dalvik cache and cache before every flash as you’re supposed to.
Do you have a microSD to SD card adapter? Highly recommended in case you run into problems like this.
