CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM for Rooted AT&T Galaxy S2! [SGH-i777]

I personally like what Samsung has done with their Samsung TouchWiz UI on the Galaxy S2 but if you don’t like it and you want to be as plain Android as possible, you can try the CyanogenMod 7.1 for the AT&T Galaxy S2.

This is a great ROM that strips pretty much everything and for some of you, this may be the perfect ROM.

CyanogenMod 7.1 is still experimental but you everything is working out of the box with up to 1.6Ghz overclocking.  Try it out and let me know what YOU THINK.

Download ROM and GoogleApps here: (Note: You will need to flash the ROM then the Googleapps right after in CWM.)

    Hey Max,

I am having a hard time installing this rom. Every time i tried to install the rom I get an error abortion message. I swipe the factor and partition clean before trying to run this rom. Any suggestions?

Same problem here. I’ve done some research and found that there is an issue with ClockworkMod 5.0.2.3 and CM7.1. I’ve tried using Rom Manager Premium v4.3.2.3 to update to CWM 5.0.2.6, as well as a manual update (downloaded the .zip from Clockworkmod.com) and I can’t get it to stick! CWM stays at version 5.0.2.3.

I’m wondering if it needs to be flashed through Odin? Not sure where to go from here…

its happening to me too, cwm stays on 5.0.2.3 not 5.0.2.6 when I tried to update it.

Yeah how did he get Cyanogen on his ATT GS2? Because I can NOT get it installed. Tried many different ways. Is there a different version of CW that works on ATT GS2?

    • Juice

How about this. I rooted, then installed the Lightning ROM from XDA. Which isn’t for ATT but it also flashes I think an older version of ClockWork(it’s orange). Maybe then would could flash Cyanogen?

Nope forget it. It doesn’t map the home button correctly. You’d never be able to execute the zip install. No?

is there a way to change themes with this rom?
