Turkbey ROM is a very highly-themed ROM that comes with custom icons, font, and a kernel that’s overclockable to 1.6Ghz. I can’t get this rom to install. It keeps failing
Can you please help me? I just flashed this rom and it keeps giving me a sorry pop up saying that “com.android. phone has stopped unexpectedly” then my service goes out for a quick sec then comes back. any solutions for this? please help!!
I had the exact same issue – which is a bummer as the ROM looks fantastic. Can you help? I had to restore to stock AT&T rom ugh.
I had the same thing happen so I went ahead and used the clear all the data option (I had backed it up anyway) and then loaded it fresh again. That fixed the errors. The only issue I’ve noticed is that some apps stop responding and popup reflects force close. Researching that problem now
I had the same issue i flashed v 32 first, when you select flash from sd delete user data, clear cache, dalvik install and it should load. when flashing over another Rom its good practice to clear user data.
Back up your current ROM and wipe the data on your phone then flash the new ROM again. Should clear up any errors, it worked for me. Only problem I see with it is it causing apps to close out unexpectedly.
phone ran slow the 1st time i installed but i loaded another rom then re-installed this one and its running smooth ive been running rom daily since posted on this site no problems or issues to report

ShoStock is the best ROM I’ve used. Fast & insane battery life.
WOW,,had the same problem as everyone else,,just wipe data and re-flash the ROM,,this is the Coolest ROM so far,,lots of neat features so for runs great,,give it a try
No problems here. Wipe data, clear cache, dalvik. Battery is decent, but it’s only the 2nd day. I somehow have duplicate sounds in my settings. So far very good. Trying to stay with TWLauncher as go launcher is awesome. Keep up the good work.
pandora will not stream music with this rom using turkbey v33 and siyla kernel, anyone have suggestions
Chris, you are correct. checked it out for myself, but i’ve been using iheartradio “create a station” feature lately or i wouldn’t have noticed this either. Good heads up!
Also, when I created a PIN to lock the phone, it never prompts me for the PIN when I use it. I have it set to lock after 1 minute and even after it set overnight charging, I just had to slide the lock screen to unlock it….no PIN
Just installed this ROM fresh, and I was only getting 3800 quadrant scores. I re installed, no luck. I tried over clocking but every time I touch the overclock app my phone freezes up. Any suggestions? Going to try your OC kernel next.

Really smooth havent had any issues. my battery ran for 20 hours on this before it died so thats awesome only complaint is Pandora doesnt work. Is anyone else having that issue?

Keeps failing to install. In CWM recovery i get “E:signature verification failed. Installation aborted.
Dumb keyboard wouldn’t pop up when I try to sign in or create a gmail account to activate phone.

Been force closing daily. I really like this ROM but it’s getting annoying force closing every 5-15 minutes throughout the day. Good days maybe it’ll force close p every 20
This is by far my favorite rom. I have been using it ever since your review, and have no reason to go (back) to any of the others for my AT&T i777. The whole package is so well done it will really take a rom that is dramatically different and better to replace it in my book. As always, thanks for the great review!

I have been using Turkbey Rom Gingerbread v33 with Kernel 2.6.35.7-00010-gcb85f76 since the very day it was released in XDA and before that I was on the v32. My CPU is set at 200min – 1600max ON DEMAND. No crashes. I can not say that for all the other ROMS I have tried. Turkbey has Exployted the best features the SGH-i777 has. I did have an issue with Pandora installing. I found an earlier version 1.5.8 with unlimited skips and found that it was placing the install files in the wrong place and format. Fixed by me the 48 y/o high school drop out who works an average 65+ hours a week year round, all over the U.S. So, saying that, I am also able to change my baseband to best suit the area I am in. Battery life is far better than stock. “It is what it is”. I can’t wait to see Turkbey on quad core.
Did anyone find a fix for PANDORA ? on this rom
