Hey, this ROM is awesome, but i have two problems with it:

    1. The data transferred to my phone using USB cable breaks down and the transfer of a larger file is almoust impossible.

    2. It’s impossible to use as a ringtone any file different than these in the sound menu.

    Please help me with this.

    • bryanfeanor

thats weird, the data transfer problem happen with all cm11 based roms and this is the only one wich doesn´t have the issue, i downgrade to 2.3.6 then upgrade to 4.0.3 then to jellybean 4.1.2 all of them stock, flash cwm recovery with odin, use GS2ROMWipeV2.10, then install this rom release version, not nightly, flash zedomax micro gapps and works fine,

Installed this ROM last night after running Resurrection ROM for the last few months. I thought RR was stable. I love this ROM. Flawless so far. Easiest install I’ve had so far. Great features to save battery which you definitely need in the good ol’ s2. congratulations AICP. Well worth giving this ROM a try. I’ll be using it for a long while.

MAx i’ve tried few roms but every time i my phone cannot detect a mobile network…say mobile network is not available…i follow your each and every step…always the same problem…please help

    • bryanfeanor

maybe it is apn, you need to configure manually for your carrer

  • Bruce Gordon

Any chance the developer can add EAP-SIM Authentication to wifi connectivity?

love the rom, gives my roughly 10-12 hours battery based on usage without wifi, with it about 7-9 hours.
super light, super fast, super awersome.

  • sauzer

i need help phone doesnt boot and i dont know how to go to recovery mode with my galaxy s2 gt i9100 again to reinstall the Rom any advice?!!

    • Sam M

Hold down the Power button for 7-8 seconds until the screen goes black.
Then hold down Power, Volume Up and Home Button at the same time. The power button for 6 seconds and the Volume Up and Home Button for 9 seconds.
You can Google search for more accurate methods, but this method worked for me.

  • gen4sr

Just to add to my previous comments have been using this ROM for a couple of days now and the only problem is sending MMS messages. Had anyone else had the same issue?

    • buster76

I have the same problem. Nothing wrong with network or settings, but can’t send MMS anyway. Anyone found a solution?

      • gen4sr

Try reducing the size of the picture or graphic to below 500kb and then try again. Most ROMs ask if you want to reduce the size prior to sending. This ROM doesn’t. I’m using C-rom now and it it’s more stable.

        • buster76

          Thanx. That helped 🙂

  • sam kaden

hey can any one tell me a good stable rom with good battery time 🙂

    • pepe

The best for me is shostock3

    • jughjit

you should try out CM11 4.4.3, really good rom i have recently installed whenthis rom was giving me some problems such as bad battery life etc. So try out CM11. Hope it works good for you.

  • Gulbaddin Razi

Hey guys I have a problem.
when I want to install gapps in my s2 after some installation it shows installation failed please help as soon as possible I need gapps for my device thanks

    • Kike

Install the micro gapps is better for the s2

      • Gulbaddin Razi

you right but when i try to install it, it comes just installation failed so tell what i should do to install gapps?

        • bryanfeanor

maybe the download file is corrupted, try download it again

  • jughjit

its really stable not many crashes compare to other older Roms. But the battery life is not that good compering to other roms such as the cm11 rom for s2. Really nice rom expect for the battery life , it wastes 10% in few mins of use. It cant take up the whole day with out keep charging it.

  • Gulbaddin Razi

hey guys there is some problem i don’t know how to sync my contact wid my social apps???

    • dougf4

Same thing with me. I forgot to install the Shift kernel. After install the phone came alive.

  • dougf4

Installed fairly well. I am getting an “OTA Stopped” Message pretty frequently. Also my navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen do not illuminate. I swear they did with the stock app.

Any thoughts ideas would be appreciated.

    • Kwakye

Same here, did you get it fixed?

  • dougf4

Installed – using Straight Talk AT&T. Redid my APN to the one that always worked previously.

No data. I’ve tried everything I can think of.

    Any thoughts???

  • Kwakye

Perfectly working ROM, but can’t get navigation buttons to light up. Also “OTA Stopped” keeps popping up. Please Help, TNX.

    • Pedro

Finally got the navigation buttons to light up (only installed ROM yesterday).
Try STweaks > BLN > in TOUCH KEYS uncheck “Force Disable Touchkeys” and check “Led on Touch”, it worked for me…
Still get “OTA Stopped” sometimes, mostly after reboots.
      Hope I could help.

  • metin

Unfortunately, AICP OTA has stoppeed :/

    • gen4sr

This morning I had my only ever successful OTA update for a kitkat 4.4.4 Rom using carbon ROM. Not as many features but more stable and I like the flashable nightly updates without having to lose any if your old data.

  • ussaId

Hey dude having some issue with the SIM network there is no service i dnt knw why well the SIM is working in other cell perfectly please help me

  • vjval1974

I installed the rom and it works excellent! Thanks.
Has anyone had issues with the accelerometer?
I first noticed the screen rotation wasnt working properly.
When sitting on a flat surface, using “advanced tools”, the Y axis shows approx 19ms^-2 ???? The lowest it gets (on its side) is 9…
Could this be my hardware? Or is it a problem with the driver/kernel?

  • sahil

I have rooted my s2 to kitkat 4.4.4
Now its not showing call logs. Please help

  • Kuber

I intalled the ROM on galaxy S2 and it’s working perfectly except two things.
    1. It restarts automatically and after restart it shows “AICP OTA HAS STOPPED WORKING” I guess it might be because of changing LCD Density. Any solution for this?
    2. Motion sensor has stopped working and in setting there no option for motion sensor.
And last how do I update this ROM?

  • Nike

do this have the all language files

  • rogersb11

This is old but as the developer (ME) of Shift kernel you probably shouldn’t host the files. Not only are you linking old stuff but it’s but cool. Thinking to the XDA thread where stuff is supported and maintained is clearly the better option
