If you haven’t tried the latest version of Revolt Jelly Bean ROM for your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100, check it out as the latest version mixes a ton of features like AOKP ROM Control, Xposed settings (like ParanoidAndroid), multi-user, and even PIE Control.

The biggest change from previous versions is the introduction of Xposed Control apps, which allow you to modify apps by DPI and also run apps in Phone or Tablet (just like Paranoid Android ROM). This feature actually can be applied to most Android devices, I should have a tutorial on that soon also.

As for PIE Control, Revolt Jelly Bean ROM comes with PIE Control similar to the one on latest ParanoidAndroid ROMs. I do prefer though using DMT launcher, which is practically same thing and also lets you choose up to 10 different application shortcuts. (You can read up on How to Add PIE Control to any Android Smartphone/Tablet).

Also, Revolt Jelly Bean ROM offers choice of running TouchWiz, Nova, Apex, or Revolt Trebuchet launchers, a load of options.

If this is something you are looking for, give it a try this week and let me know what you think!

    • Alyssa says:

You can only brick your phone if you install a ROM that is not made for it or did not follow instructions.
Also, Max has videos of rooting & unrooting, just browse his video section.

    Hey,

I really love this rom. But I have one little problem: When I try to receive a Google+-Hangout, the app (Google+) crashes. The video-chat on google talk works however. Do you have any idea to fix that problem on Google+?

    Thanks!

I saw that after i installed this ROM after installing the space and time ROM and i saw on both of them that the RAM went a bit lower like it used to be at about 850 MB on stock ROM and now it is only 792 MB and that my RAM is always high like 105 MB free space of RAM is it normal for this ROM and is it dangerous!?
    please reply

    • Chaitanya says:

For JB that’s all you get in RAM. When it was Gingerbread I used to have almost 1GB (about 970MBish). But for ICS, it got down to somewhere near 850MB. For JB it is somewhere near 756MB or so. As long as your phone doesn’t creep about low memory, it’s fine….

      Hope this helps.

  6. Harman says:

i backed up my stock rom before installing this rom now when i go back to restore my previous stock rom it says md5 miss match please help me

  7. MagaFromSVK says:

Very satisfied with this ROM. Sometimes when you i try to open camera, it says it can’t connect to camera. The things i miss in this rom are: Samsung Calling app, Samsung Messaging App,… When you call someone, there is no preisntalled record calling functionality like it was in modified version of Samsung Calling app, where u have 5 icons (Mute, Speaker, Bluetooth handset, …., and Add to contact) … so instead of Add to Contact there was a functionality to record a call, but not in this rom :(
battery life is gergerous!, works flawlessly, speed, reaction etc etc… Using Nova Launcher as it’s the best one in speed and functionality(creating folders for apps).

  8. Chaitanya says:

I don’t know if its my phone’s problem or if anybody else is also facing. I did the installation of ROM as per the guidelines (data, cache, dalvik cache wipe..install ROM..wipe data, cache and dalvik cache and restart)…But it gave me lot of trouble to recognize the media. I faced the same issue with Resurrection remix also. I had to use some commands (su, pm enable com.android.media.providers/com.android.media.providers.MediaScannerReceiver) to get the thing working. But I fear that everytime there is a reboot, I would end up doing this and hence end up setting my ringtones, alarm tones again.

Sticks on reboot image? Very poor Rom

  10. Riz says:

    Hello,

Can we install dual rom with Revolt Rom, if so please let us know which kernel need to install with this rom?

    Thanks,

  11. LG_FUAD says:

Not a bad ROM, but I still prefer JellyBam 5.2.0 cause it can handle undervolting better than this one. But still, thanks for the review Max. Really appreciate it:)

Very good ROM, everythings I’ve used works perfectly. Battery life same as stock ROM (with everything turned on all the time, wifi, 3G, etc.).
I’am using with Dorimanx Kernel. Has anybody some experience with another Kernel?
