Batista Gingerbread ROM was probably my favorite Gingerbread ROM of all time for the Galaxy S2 i9100. Well, Batista70 ICS ROM is now available. Based off the latest official ICS XXLPQ, the Batista70 ICS ROM is surely good news for all of us with a Galaxy S2 i9100.
UPDATE: There’s a newer version of this ROM!!! Although this is still one of the earlier builds, you can expect some very good battery life and performance with lots of tweaks.

For those of you who want to unroot your Galaxy S2 i9100 to the latest ICS “official” stock ROM, you can do this easily using ODIN. (or Heimdall for Mac/Linux).
Step 1. Put your Galaxy S2 i9100 into download mode by holding down Volume Down, Center button, and Power button together for about 10 seconds until your phone reboots and you see the warning sign. Press Volume Up button to enter download mode.
Step 2. Connect a micro-USB cable to your Galaxy S2 from your computer.
Step 3. Download stock ICS ROM and unzip.
If you don’t like TouchWiz launcher on the official OTA ROM, you can try the Darky ICS ROM which is the same thing but comes with Nova ICS launcher. This is also based on the same official Samsung OTA update, software version XXLPQ with root and ClockworkMod Recovery Touch.

Folks, the long wait is over for ICS on the Galaxy S2 GT-i9100, Samsung has released their “official” ICS update as of last night. For those of you who can’t wait, you can install a rooted version of the XXLPQ update so you don’t have to lose root. And this is our recommended way of updating to the official ICS update so if you don’t like it, you can always go back to another ROM like the Resurection Remix ICS ROM.

For this week, I am still on CM9 ICS ROM for my AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777. I’ve updated to the latest nightly with on-screen buttons so you will have the ability to use the home button. There’s couple other ICS ROMs available at the moment but I believe CM9 ICS ROM is still the best so if you want ICS on your AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777, I advise you to stay/install CM9.

For those of you already on Resurrection Remix ICS ROM v9.4 and you have zero problems, you might be fine until the next big version. But if you are having any minor issues, you can try the new version 9.6 for Ressurection Remix ICS ROM for your Galaxy S2 i9100.

For those of you who want to try a different “flavor” of Tuesday ROM, the developer of Tuesday ROM has another variety out, the Paradox 2 Paradise ROM for your T-Mobile Galaxy S2 SGH-T989.
This ROM is pretty flawless also coming with XloudBeats on DSP Manager, ext4 tweaks, wifi tweaks, and Darkside kernel overclockable up to 1.782Ghz. And indeed with overclocking, runs just fine on my T-Mobile Galaxy S2.

Check out this ICS ROM for AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777! A CM9 port, this ICS ROM is pretty complete except for minor things like the back button and search button not working. Other quicks include the screen turning off and on randomly during its sleep state but if that doesn’t bother you, you can get “almost” full ICS experience on your AT&T Galaxy S2 with Face Unlock working too. Other than those small issues, everything works including data/wifi/bluetooth/camera.

I know many of you on the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 SGH-T989 are waiting for a stable ICS ROM but while we wait for that, you can try out some of the better Gingerbread ROMs as this SlickMod ROM, which probably is the “fastest” ROM right now. I think this ROM, Tuesday ROM, and Juggernaut are far by the best ROMs
For those of you on Galaxy S2 i9100, I HIGHLY suggest you to try the Resurrection Remix ICS ROM. I really think this is the “best” ICS ROM available out right now, everything works great with also long battery life. I was having some problems with other ICS ROMs but the Resurrection Remix ICS ROM seems pretty darn solid and most of people I’ve talked to who are using this ROM say the same thing.
