Love this Rom, VERY Fast and stable. Just came from the EVO. Just 1 question, is a Kernel for the SG2 like flashing one on the EVO?

I have this from installed, which btw is my favorite out of all of them on this site due to it’s speed and great battery life. I leave my house with 100% early in the morning at 7 and by the time I get home 7ish my battery still has 30%, so I only charge my phone once a day, not a heavy user but definitely moderate.

but I have a question if someone could answer me. ever since I installed this rom, 2 weeks ago, one weird thing’s been happening, well happened 3 times actually. usually with around 25% of battery life left my phone just turns off. first time it happened I thought my phone got bricked, since it would not turn on. tried taking out my battery and replacing, and still it would not start. only after about 5 min the phone started. and I know it wasn’t the battery since it still had 22% and worked fine until 5% when I started charging it again.

can someone please give me some insight on what might be going on and whether this is in any way dangerous, meaning brickable?

    thank you in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, I am like you in the fact I don’t want to ruin a $650.00 dollar phone. First of all make sure you have everything you need in the unroot section just in case you do brick your phone. I had to unroot my phone and bring it back to stock because of a bad flash & during the process my phone lost connection with my computer. The phone said there was a firmware problem and showed a yellow exclamation mark. Even though the phone looked like it was not talking to odin I sent the file anyway and it installed then did the reboot. During the reboot when you get to the touch the android to begin the phone would not respond. I just unplugged phone from computer, rebooted to stock recovery & did a data wipe. The phone then worked perfectly and I loaded the file again with odin this time it worked perfect, I then did a data wipe & gave it like 5 minutes, I promise you my phone has never worked so good. I am telling you all of this just to put your mind at ease if something does go wrong. As far as the battery it sounds like you need to calibrate your battery.
      1. Charge your phone to 100% power.
      2. Boot into recovery.
      3. Under advanced wipe bat stats.
      4. Reboot your phone.
      5. Let your phone run all they way down to the point where it turns off. (dead bat).
      6. Charge your phone like normal and your bat should be calibrated, I hope this helps.

I forgot to say, when you charge your phone like normal make sure that at least the first time you let it charge back up to 100% ๐Ÿ™‚
