      • Steve says:

i cant believe nobody is helping you (this never happen on XDA forum)……
        whats your recovery mode?
theres two options, TWRP or CWM (latest is 6.0.2.9)
        also jay.dub release 22.0.1 yesterday.

        • steve says:

Does it matter which CMw recovery u got to flash the pacman ROM…because I have the cmw recovery 5.0.2.6???

          • Steve says:

I’m not really sure couse I always update CMW before any download. I think u should try bro. Do a nandroid first in case something happens. Good luck buddy.

          • Steve says:

Hey Steve, i had the same prob (boot loop) and tried updating CWM to 6 and then tried Pacman again and it worked. I read somewhere that CWM 5 is for Gingerbread and ICS only and since this ROM is based on Jelly Bean you need to have CWM 6 installed. The upgrade is easy. Good luck!

      • Johnny says:

Are you using darkside super wipe, and dark side cache wipe?

  4. undersiege24 says:

Does WiFi calling work with this rom? I really would like to try it but I have to have WiFi calling. Anyone know of a good rom that you can use WiFi calling with?

    Thanks

    • Aaron says:

if it is not a modified tmobile rom then wifi calling will not work. I am really surprised that people keep asking this same questions for every rom. AOSP = NO WIFI CALLING.

  5. steve says:

I have Cwm 5.0.2.6,that’s why I don’t know why there’s a problem with me flashing that pacman ROM!!! I just flashed the new AOKP mr1 build 6 ROM for the Tmobile galaxy s2….I know I could update my recovery to the touch CMw but last time I did a couple weeks ago I was stuck on that recovery…it was saying error cache/recovery log…n no space left on device…I don’t what I did to get that on there…but I had to use the unbrick method using Odin which worked but I still get error cache recovery on there but I can still flash on the cmw 5.0.2.6 recovery…so I’m a little skeptical update the new update for cmw recovery…but don’t I have problem flashing the AOKP mr1 build 6 ROM n I just had the build 5 before that n cm10 before that using the cmw 5.0.2.6 recovery…so why would I have trouble doing it with the pacman ROM….am I doing something wrong here!!! Help if you can bro!!! Thanks!!!!

    • Mike says:

I got that same problem when I switched between ROMS by using backup and restore. The only way I could fix that is by flashing cwm 5026 with odin then installing the latest cwm.

  6. steve says:

Did it take anybody along time for it to boot up when after initially flash the pacman ROM…because I thinking maybe I didn’t wait long enough to go through booting…I just thought I was boot looped…Idk!!! I’m just trying to figure this out should I wait longer to boot through…I’m using 5.0.2.6 cwm recovery do I have to upgrade it????? Somebody help me out here!!!!

  7. diego says:

    Please Reply

    • Steve says:

If you’re coming from previous version dirty flash it’s Ok but, if is from different ROM no man! Don’t even try. You can backup everything using titanium backup bro.

  8. steven says:

I finally got it…..i updated cwm recovery to team win recovery and i flashed the pacman rom over again n it booted up no less then a minute…..so i guess cwm recovery 5.0.2.6 doesnt work with flashing this pacman rom!!!!

  9. Steve says:

Good! Now download 22.0.1 and do a dirty flash, latest version is even better than this one 🙂

  10. Juan says:

    • Steve says:

It’s pie… Installed on the bottom as default… Go to settings (I believed next is toolbar for this version) and disabled pie or move it to the right or left
      😉

      • Juan says:

its not pie…ever since i started it b4 pie even turned on it was still like that…i took it off too and it didnt help

        • Steve says:

That’s the only reason…. Did you choose none under trigger area?

          • Juan says:

there it got fixed…but now i got a new problem and this happened with my aokp build 5 rom…celluar data wont work…on build 6 cellular service in genreal didnt work…now on pac man its just the data aint working

            • Steve says:

GO to settings, more, mobile network, make sure data is enabled, if it is, unchecked and check again, then reboot. Also before reboot, make sure that your baseband is installed : phone info.

              • Juan says:

i did that…fixed it to….thank you so much…its my first rom ever so like im always sketchhy on it…anything i should know b4 diving in…? any of complaints about the rom?

                • Steve says:

Every custom rom it’s not perfect if u find any issue let me know, I can help you
Suggest : change DPI for email app under Paranoid android settings (before u ask about that :-P) also if you know what kernel is, cerux kernel it’s the best for this rom.

                  • Juan says:

where do u find kernals for t989 i couldnt find one on this website…btw im majoring in computer programming so to me its fun messing around with this stuff…but im only in my 2nd semester so im still new

    Hello ,

i’ve a S2 T989D koodo mobile and i would like to check if this rom will be compatable with my phone

    thanks

  13. Migly says:

I flash the rom but I always have problem with the calls, the people said that hear me weird like eco and noisy. My phone is SGH-T989. Someone can help me or what can I do?

  14. Micah says:

Hello all…after finally figuring out I needed twrp to flash pacman correctly I got the ROM and gapps installed but now i am having problems using the voice – to – text and Google voice search and voice control feature. It says something like Google application has stopped very quickly and then it changes the input to voice globally and I have to manually deselect it in the input settings to get the keyboard back. Overall i am impressed with the ROM in general and would like to keep it but without this feature it would be a show stopper. Any thoughts?

    • ms.samsprung says:

      Hey Micah,
I hear ya. I’ve had this install for just around a week, and although there’s a lot of options for customizations, I’ve been having the same problems with Google voice commands and it just seems too buggy for my taste. I’ve also found that my hotspot function doesn’t seem as reliable as I need ( I live on my boat & my phone IS the internet). If you’re going to give it some more time you might want to try a jellibean keyboard, it helps w/ some of the issues.
Good Luck & enjoy, onto Slimbean.

  15. Craig says:

Does this ROM support 4G? sorry for my lack of knowledge but is that what H+ means?

  16. Micah says:

My phone is freezing when I connect USB for mass storage…is there a work around for this?

  17. Micah says:

Let me clarify…. The ROM was installed successfully and i my phone has perfect functionality (except when I plug in my USB cord to access my files and SD card) that’s when the phone freezes up)….I believe it is the System UI file that is causing the problems…has anyone experienced this and is there a fix?

    I have 2 q if I may,
    1-does it have Multi-window?
    2-How is the battery life?
    Thanks for your time

    • Gabriel Ignacio says:

      1. Only custom TouchWiz-based ROMs have Multiwindow so NO. If you want Multiwindow, use a TouchWiz ROM that supports that feature. (Honestly, Multiwindow isn’t really even that great unless you’re using a Note 2 or a tablet. Besides that, Multiwindow is more of a gimmick IMO)
      2. Battery life is great though you should give it at least a few days to a week for the ROM to settle down.

  21. Ariel Giron says:

  23. Chris Maj says:

So I’ve rooted my device and all that good stuff, but I can’t run cyanogenmod or this. I’m always stuck at the boot screen. Help??

  24. MikeG says:

Wich cwm are you using? You need atleast cwm 6.0.1 or teamwin recovery 2.5 and also you should download darkside super wipe zip. I hope that was helpful

  25. cross80 says:

If you having problems with installing this rom, i suggest you begin with a freah phone by that i mean go ahead and bring your phone back to unroot, than follow instruction on how to root the phone, ones u do that follow instruction on installing this room u should be fine after that

I cant hear the other person when i call on Viber, Tango or Skype and they cant hear me too.. Am using Pacman Rom on T Mobile Galaxy S2

  27. Gabriel Ignacio says:

The official PACman ROM works great but I prefer the Linaro toolchain build compared to this PACman ROM as the UI is smoother.
