For this week’s T-Mobile Galaxy S2 ROM of the week, check out latest ParanoidAndroid ROM version 3.99.

Based on latest Android 4.3, the latest ParanoidAndroid ROM brings you all your favorite ParanoidAndroid features like HALO floating notifications, ParanoidAndroid Hybrid Settings, PIE Controls, and more.

Of course, this is still a “beta” ROM so I don’t recommend it as daily driver but if you want to backup your current ROM and try it out for couple days, that would be ideal.

As for stock launcher, the Home button behaves with a heavy lag but you can fix it easily by installing a 3rd-party launcher like Nova or Apex, which I prefer anyways.

The stock camera works fine, the only thing not working is the photo taking feature while recording a video, just don’t use it but otherwise photos and videos work 100%.  (I did also upgrade my camera to the Android 4.3 PhotoSphere APK file, which gives you PhotoSphere mode also.)

Overall, ParanoidAndroid ROM seems pretty solid other than the mentioned work-arounds.  Give it a test drive this week(end) and do let me know what you think!
