Learn How to Root Galaxy S2 & Install Custom ROMs!
Here’s an interesting “hybrid” ROM that might interest some of you out there. It’s Avatar ROM, a mix of CM10 Android 4.1.2 and MIUI themes/settings.
For those of you who don’t like MIUI ROMs but love the unlimited number of free themes MIUI themes, you can run this ROM to get the best of both worlds.
If you haven’t tried the latest version of Revolt Jelly Bean ROM for your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100, check it out as the latest version mixes a ton of features like AOKP ROM Control, Xposed settings (like ParanoidAndroid), multi-user, and even PIE Control.
The biggest change from previous versions is the introduction of Xposed Control apps, which allow you to modify apps by DPI and also run apps in Phone or Tablet (just like Paranoid Android ROM). This feature actually can be applied to most Android devices, I should have a tutorial on that soon also.
For T-Mobile users, there’s great news as CM10 Jelly Bean ROM is available for your rooted T-Mobile Galaxy S2 SGH-T989! This CM10 Jelly Bean ROM is still “alpha” as camera/camcorder/Netflix/Hulu are broken and there’s some bugs but still usable if you don’t mind those bugs.
